Super Duplex Stainless Steel grades are comparable to standard Duplex, but they contain a higher content of chromium, thus improving the corrosion resistance along with mechanical properties. Super Duplex Stainless steel is intended for applications; its requirements are exceptional strength and corrosion resistance. The elevated molybdenum, chromium and nitrogen contents of Super Duplex results in magnificent resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion attack and the Duplex structure give excellent exceptional resistance to chloride stress corrosion cracking.
