Duplex Steel is useful in various applications, because of its very high strength. Duplex Steel 2205 are the most widely utilized Duplex (Ferritic/Austenitic) Stainless Steel grade. The Duplex Steel 2205 alloy is nitrogen-improved Duplex Steel alloy. The nitrogen serves to significantly enhance the corrosion resistance of the alloy; especially in the welded condition.
